Where can I share a comment or suggestion?
We are happy to hear from you at fair@gogebic.gov. Together we can make the fair better
each year. Fair board meetings are also open to the public. Regular meetings are held the first Monday
of each month with additional meetings during peak fair season and as needed. Meeting times are
posted at the Courthouse and on local news media. You may also call the office at 906-932-2700 to
confirm times and dates.
Do you have a Lost and Found department?
Please stop in the fair office at the far west end of the multi-purpose building or call 906-932-2700 to turn in a found item or inquire about a lost one. Items turned in will be kept at the office for a short time after the fair; please contact us as soon as possible as we are unable to keep these items indefinitely. Please keep a close eye on your children, as we do not have the facilities to care for or search for them from the office.
Are pets allowed on the fairgrounds?
To promote safety for all fair attenders, only service animals are allowed on the fairgrounds.

Per City of Ironwood regulations, consumption of alcohol is allowed only within restricted areas on the
grounds. Alcohol is available for purchase at the Aurora Club and the Turn 2 Saloon. Carry ins are not

help keep all fairgoers and our grounds safe by not smoking!
What about health and safety on the fairgrounds?
The bathroom building just west of the Expo building has soap and water at the sinks. Baby changing
stations are also located in these bathrooms. Hand washing stations are located throughout the
grounds, including near all porta-potties. In addition, hand sanitizers are located near the entrances of
most buildings. Please help keep our fairgrounds safe and clean by utilizing the many trash cans
throughout the grounds. 911 should be called for any health-related emergency. Minimal first aid
supplies are available at the fair office. Increased safety precautions will be in force to protect our guests and ensure compliance with all COVID-19 restrictions/regulations in place per the State of Michigan at the time of the event.
Can I work at the fair?
We are always in need of additional volunteers to keep the fair functioning smoothly. Please call the
office at 906-932-2700 or e-mail fair@gogebic.gov.
How do I exhibit at the fair?
Exhibitors are the backbone of county fairs and we would be delighted to have you bring your exhibits.
Please call the office at 906-932-2700 or email fair@gogebic.gov to get an exhibitor
number and further instructions. Our premium listing will be available on our website and a limited
number of print copies will be available at select locations prior to the fair. The premium listing will
address rules for exhibitors including Michigan Department of Agriculture requirements for showing
animals, necessary paperwork, veterinary papers, etc. Please note the importance of pre-entry as
described in the premium listing to prevent long waits and unnecessary stress on entry day. Please help
us keep our fair safe by complying with these requirements and cooperating with our clerks.
